Make sure your flash drive has a folder labeled "USER FILES," then load your WAV files onto the flash drive from your PC or another computer. Insert the flash drive before turning on the keyboard. First, select any saved sound. Then press the "Sound/Audio" button twice to retrieve the WAV files from the flash drive on your keyboard. You will play now. Remember: your flash drive MUST be formatted - then add the folder name "USER FILES" BEFORE transferring WAV files to the flash drive.

For this keyboard, WAV file MUST be 44.1KHz and 16-bit otherwise they won't load from the USB drive.

The free Audacity software will convert/save in this format.

Owner's Manual calls for WAV files of 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, stereo. (Page 34) Yamaha's software seems to be quite strict about the format and to this day, I still forget about stereo. :)
