Is there a way to actually edit a Drumset like in the old days where you had access to each drum sound ?

I can only see the regular "simple" edits common to all normal sounds.

I didn't even got that far yet, but a friend asked me because he "just" wanted to lower the kick drum volume of a rhythm, and he isn't the technical guy that just goes in and lowers all kick drum notes in the style creator editor. He can figure out how to create a user style and set the volume of the sounds and mute tracks he don't need.

I remember from the old days that we on most boards I have had could make a "user kit" even we couldn't save it. I usually just put my edits in with CC's and nrpn messages, GS or XG edits or the ocassional sy*** msg at the start of the style/Midi file, but that is way beyond my friends skills.

Any help appreciated  :)

You can try doing it like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1B0HuaBLmc

The video is in German, but maybe it's enough if you follow what's shown. Maybe it would also help to turn on the subtitles and have them translated into English. The automatic translation is sometimes a bit funny, but you can usually get the idea.

The setup starts at 1:10.
