Hello,
after changing my T5 to Genos 2 I'm still learning it and I have two questions:
How can I change the volume of one style track, e.g. guitar, in only one variation (e.g. B)?
After dividing the keyboard in the Voice section in Right 3, can I play with more than one voice?

1. Select the desired style
2. Open Style Creator
3. Select desired variation
4. Open MIXER/EQ (don't exit Style Creator)
5. Go to Style tab and adjust the volume of desired track
6. Exit MIXER/EQ (you will be returned to Style Creator)
7. Save style and exit Style Creator

No. You can only use one (R3) voice in R3 keybed section -R1 and R2 voices are reserved for R1+R2 keybed section.

How do you do step 4 (open the mixer from within the Genos style creator) ?

hi Derek,
On PSR keyboards we have dedicated MIXER/EQ button on panel, which is very handy and I use it quite often -but Genos doesn't have it!?
I didn't check Genos manual and so the only way to accomplish that seems to be by using MENU button -which is not that practical at all.

How to open Mixer in Style Creator ? In t5 there was a separate Mixing Console button, in Genos I don't see...

See my answer above: " the only way to accomplish that seems to be by using MENU button"

One of Leigh Wilbraham Style Creator videos shows him simply going to the sliders to adjust style part volumes while working in Style Creator.

Hello,
On my Genos, I've put the assignable "A" as a shortcut for the Mix/Q, too important for programming, and the "D" for the "Style Creator" which I'm using a lot at the moment to rework the Genos2 styles ...

Hello.
I have Style Creator on the SX700 Home screen, in the bottom left corner, and can be edited with one touch.

Hello,
I only use the home page 5% of the time, which was the opposite on the Tyros, the uses are totally different from one person to another ...

As far as the saving process is concerned, I open and modify the variation and only then do I open Styles Créator and do Save ... ( here ) in the style.

On the Genos style creator, there is no button on the page (even under the menu tab) to open the mixer.

There is no dedicated panel button for the mixer.

Even if you assign the 'mixer' function to one of the assignable buttons, it does not work within the style creator.

@DerekA,
I assume that MENU button on Genos and PSR-SX works the same way:
While you are inside Style Creator, press MENU button (on the panel), select Menu1 tab (on display), then touch Mixer button (on display) and finally select Style tab on display.
Now you can set volumes for each channel to your desire.
After you finished with settings, close Mixer window and then close MENU window and you will automatically return into Style Creator.

Yeah, it's a bummer that Assignable buttons don't work if Style creator is open.
Why the heck Yamaha decided to remove Mixer button on Genos?? -they should at least add "Mixer" selection inside Style Creator (i.e. next to StepEdit).

Hello Derek,

That's how I do it ...
I'm correcting the 800 Genos2 styles on Usb key, I access the A assignable for all mixer pages to assign voices, effect, Q, Volume balance (which doesn't change the Dynamic Control state but changes the range position) etc..., then I open the Creator Styles page with my D assignable and save this part directly in the style on Key. This is how it works for me at this level.
For creation functions on pages internal to the Style Creator, I also open the latter via my D assignable!
For OTS to be modified, I modify everything I need by OTS individually via my A assignable or by accessing the Voices shortcut and opening the page I'm interested in (even more direct) mixer/effects/Arpeggiator/harmonizer/Lowers to be modified and I save via the Mémory button (for registrations) and the modified OTS which opens the Save procedure identical to that for registrations... which many are familiar with ...

Just to clarify for those who think I'm complicating...
If we wish to change some settings (i.e. volume, balance, etc.) only for particular variation (or Intro, etc.), then it's important that we we first open Style Creator and then apply settings by opening the Mixer (while Style Creator is open in background).
If we would first make settings in Mixer and then open Style Creator (to save new settings), then those settings will apply to ALL variations! -which we usually don't want.

Thank you BogdanH for pointing this out,

But when you set out to correct hundreds of styles, you take the fastest method in the 1st correction, then, for real use, in the second listening you refine it to your liking if you find the need.

As I always use Dynamic Control, I'm obliged to come back to it to set it at the right level, while ensuring DC-free use. That's my priority => no more gaps and a balanced whole ...

(I was replying to a message from BogdanH)

Yes this does work thank you. Once the mixer was opened from the main menu, using the ABCD buttons I could set all parameters separately per variation. The only thing I could not do was mute off specific parts in the different variations.

Thanks for help. I can do this in Style Creator using Slider Assign.
