Definitely. It's time to start guessing. I guess at least this fall/Winter we should hear something from Yamaha. Also watch the price of the current models as they should drop when it gets closer. I noticed tyat with other models. I think when they drop the price it means they ended production of the current models. Let's cross our fingers and see whenever they release the new SX Models what features they will have. I'm guessing the live control knobs will have the led lights like the genos 2.

Amwilburn

I agree with your wants list, Hans,  but since G2 didn't have SSS, PSRsx920 won't either.

Likewise, A.T is reserved for the TOTLA

hans1966

Hello Marcos, you are right, since Yamaha has established that dynamic since the first TOTL arrangers came out.

Even so, it is good to dream and speculate, maybe we will get a big surprise from Yamaha in this new model,  ;)
who knows? We'll see  :)

greetings

Hans

Just noticed: PSR-SX900 is no longer available at Thomann (SX700 is still on stock, though).
And then I checked Yamaha.de keyboards where keyboards are always listed with official prices and guess what: there are no prices for SX900 and SX700 anymore.

Is it time to start guessing?  ;D 8)

Bogdan

I think so.

At musicstore.de, both the PSR-SX700 and the PSR-SX900 are currently no longer listed as new devices. As returned devices, both are marked "EOL", which probably stands for "End of Life".

This is Great News!!

Christmas in JULY works for me.  ;D

Kurt: EOL does indeed mean "end of life"

Enildo

I think (EOL) this is the last unit in the store. Used as a "showcase" for people to test in the store. It says it is an "Item with signs of wear and scratches."
But maybe it will be the last one because the store is no longer able to buy new Yamaha ones.

These are items returned by the customer. In the EU, customers have a legal right of return for online purchases without giving any reason within at least 14 days.

definitely. And this could mean they are discontinued and Yamaha is getting ready to launch the new models.

It is also possible that the new sx keyboards already exist. It's just that Yamaha won't show them until the time is right.

When I was actively working in this field, prototypes and pre-production models were in existence way before release dates. Bugs would be ironed out, sounds and features tweaked until the final pre-production models were ready for testing and, perhaps, ready for display to selected distributors and dealers (who would sign NDAs preventing them from speaking about them - and we know that some will occasionally spill the beans a bit early!)
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Andy is spot on. Yamaha published a Motif retrospective history and this was -- and probably still is -- their development process.

Yes, there are prototype PSR-SX720 and PSR-SX920 already.

All the best -- pj

that's cool they already have the prototypes. SX920-SX720-SX620 is a good prediction.

Close. Nix the SX620 at this time. -- pj

I have a great feeling when the new sx models come out the knobs will have led lights like the G2. And maybe even have the main display tilted like the G2. And for the Reflection reverb all three of the new sx will have it:

I hope to see a built-in USB audio interface and better DAW integration on the new PSR SX.

I do too. And also aftertouch too.

Hi,

After entering the phrase "PSR SX920" into Google, I found this page: https://www.volza.com/p/yamaha-keyboard/import/coo-indonesia/

If I understand correctly, it is a list of imports of Yamaha instruments from Indonesia to Vietnam.

I can see the following two items there:

- "Yamaha brand PSR-SX720 -E-PROTO #318 organ"
- "PSR-SX920 -E-PROTO #326 organ , Yamaha brand"

The page was updated on 17th of July.

It seems there's really something in the air...  ;)

I'm hoping they have given the chord looper some editing capability.

Saw this a few weeks ago. Search on "PSR-SX720" and you'll find something similar.

Release date is -- who knows! Volza had "SEQTRAK" prototypes well before the actual product announcement.

Best of luck -- pj
