This style and its OTS are nicely demonstrated in several YT videos.
But most of those are improvisations.  Any
more standard song suggestions for that style?

Hello,

That Desert Adventure style is awesome and shows off so many of Genos2's features. It sounds wonderful!!  But, There are a few styles like that one that I have no clue what song to play with it. Like most of my style playing it is purely instrumental but what melody would go with it?  I know I'm kicking a dead horse but several models ago Yamaha had a "repertoire" function that worked like a playlist, only backwards. You would click the Repertoire button on the style chosen and a list of songs that style was made for would be listed. I used it all the time but apparently nobody else did. Maybe that feature would have helped answer your question. Maybe there's a way to reverse engineer the current playlist??    Best wishes.  -charley

The playlist just says Dune 2021 main Theme if that helps. There will be many other songs you can use it for.

Thanks, but in YouTube there are 22 tracks in
the soundtrack. Any Dune fans out there who can
identify which one is like the style Desert Adventure.

In addition  it would be helpful to get some suggestions
of more well-known film themes or songs.

James Horner's Mask of Zorro theme, Lawrence of Arabia theme, Game of Thrones theme probably, Hans Zimmer did Dune so probably some of his other pieces from Gladiator, epic old Cecil B. DeMille movies themes etc. that work with this slightly Arabian sounding style....

Sounds good.

Thank you. I made a couple of mistakes. But decided it was the best one!!! Hope to post some more later this week.

Why not choose a song of a different genre & play it in this different style,
eg Wonderous Place by Billy Fury [it's been in a few ads], or Riders In The Storm by the Doors.
Switching styles / genres is great fun & an escape from the usual, producer Trevor Horn has a couple of more recent albums where he does this, I find it refreshing, & motivational.
I've just had a play with Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run, in C [so it starts C Am C Am, etc] - great fun.
I sing along rather than playing melody in right hand.
Have a go, you might find it interesting?

Good morning,

You can also play "Matsuri" by Japanese composer KITARO, a tune that I put online.
