Jose, there is a reason for a power brick - it can be set up to work anywhere on the globe! Built in power supplies are not universal - which limits the market.

I just sat through the Bonners You Tube demo and loved every minute of it!

If I were still performing, I would buy one in a heartbeat. What a wonderful sounding arranger keyboard, with an incredible number of new features. Anything under $5,000 would be a fantastic buy, IMO. As for the complexity, yes, it may be a bit overwhelming to a lot of non-techie players, especially those that never seem to get around to taking the user manual out of the Zip-Loc bag it arrived in. In contrast, for those of us that do take the time to explore the many features, and utilize them to their fullest capacity, this would be the best thing since sliced bread.

If I were not so messed up, physically, I would have one on order now!

Good luck,

It says "AC IN" and shows an IEC C13/14 plug, seems very unlikely they used an external power brick

I don't think I have seen anything use a AC-input that wasn't mains voltage since the Nintendo Entertainment System ..

I believe there is NO power adapter - see photo: Looks like the same IEC power connector as on Genos 1:

On the other hand it does say "12V" on the adapter part - which doesn't make any sense with that plug in the keyboard

The "12V" is a typo on Yamaha's behalf; I checked the specs on Yamaha's site and also the Genos 2 manual. Both state that G2 ships with AC power cord and the photo confirms this.

If you open the Genos 1 and the Genos 2, you will see a 12volt power brick inside mounted to the case
