I've been running my SX900 through a Bose L1 Model 2.  Last weekend the Bose developed a major fault midway through a gig and I had to piggyback into the piano players Bose system for the rest of the evening.  My Bose is now over 20 years old and has seen a lot of work.  I'd like to move on and  possibly replace it with a Bose F1 812 speaker array system.  Has anyone used or had any experience of the Bose F1 812 please?

Thank you.

Hallo we have had 2 bose F1 and 2 subwoofer for about 3 years and we are very pleased they sound terrific and are easy to set up
and when we have small gigs we only use 2 F1 and you have a lot off sound for every place I can really recomend
And for monitoring we have 2 Bose S1

Thank you for the reply Michael.  That's very helpful.

When you use the F1's on there own do they have enough bass without the sub-woofer?   Are you running through a mixer?

Thank you.

Like you I have used Bose speakers for about 20
years.  I currently use a Bose L1.   My advice, stick
with the Bose L1.  Light weight, great sound coverage,
affordable, easy setup.

Thanks Deane.  I'm guessing you're referring to the Compact when you say L1.

That's very helpful Michael.  Thank you.

I was wondering about the need for the 'sub'.  I've got a Bose T1 mixer so I'm OK in that department.   I'll ask the dealer to demo the F1 with and without the sub.

Your input has been invaluable.

Thanks

Hi Vic, you could perhaps consider listening to the HK Audio Polar12 system, in my opinion it sounds better than the Bose . I've used both and also QSC K series but overall I'm blown away by the German HK's. Very powerful too (2Kw amp) and HK provide systems for concert venues and have a great reputation. I purchased the Polar 10's just before the start of Covid and after lockdown finished I've been using them every weekend for gigs and never had a proble. Give 'em a listen mate

Thanks for taking the time to reply Dave.  I'd not heard of the HK Polar System until you mentioned it.   I'm open to any suggestions/recommendations so I'll take a look to see if I have a local dealer.

Cheers
