Hi

Looking at the discussions on the forum, it seems that people are still looking for a piano for Yamaha, even if Genos has the CFX.
Here you have two Bosendorfer pianos with the same waves inside.
The first 151Mb has an advantage on very low frequencies.
The second 123Mb is worked a little more carefully in YEM.
Try them, you might like them.

I almost got scared when I saw the size of the compressed file, thinking that you had made a mistake about the size of the pianos. :)

I'm going to test it here on my YEM, I'm waiting for the tyros5 to come back from the repair. But thanks in advance!

Misu,

I tried it. It does not sound anything close to an acoustic piano in my opinion, but I appreciate you sharing for us to try it out. I have yet to hear any expansion piano for SX900 that is better than the Yamaha preset ConcertGrand. The Genos CFX I don't know how that one sounds.

Here's my opinion...
Before judging this voice, I recommend that you first edit it in YEM where you make two corrections:
Common section > Effects: Reverb Depth is 47 -set it to 0! (this can also be done on keyboard)
Element 1 section > General: Volume is 100 -set it to about 65..70 (now loudness will match other voices)
Now save new settings and create install file.

Voice itself (audio samples) is quite good and usable... The problem is voice size: 150MB is unacceptable for piano. To reduce the size, samples need to be shortened. For example: C3 note has length of 20(!) seconds, which is totally unnecessary. I didn't check other notes, but I'm quite sure this voice can be reduced to below 50MB without affecting quality.

Just my 2c,
Bogdan

Hi

By cutting the waves I managed to reduce Bosendorfer to 58Mb and the other two to 63Mb and 70Mb respectively - the number on the back.
All three pianos have two different waves for each sector, hence the size. I wanted it to remain <<stereo>>.
I hope someone likes it.
