i had downloaded the the sx 900 bonus playlist several weeks ago to USB 1  and it worked  like a charm. Today it doesnt work. It shows the song names but when i select a song it says file note found.

I tryed a new stick with a fresh download of the playlist from yamaha with same results .

The Playlist selection for PSR s970 975 mfw work fine.

i have read previous posts on this issue but i cant find a solution.

anysuggestions ?

thanks

The file that it's looking for is the registration. Try looking for it manually to see that it's there.

If it is, you need to update the Playlistbwith its new name or location.

If it's not, you need to restore the file.

Hi Nova

Make sure that the USB Stick is only one in the Keyboard.

I am stumped.
I have read all the old posts on this matter.

So I
- deleted all evidence of the zip file from Yamaha .
- Downloaded new zip file with playlist from site
- only one usb in board
- unzipped on fresh usb 3 stick
- factory reset on sx 900
- started up keyboard , usb shows as usb1
- loaded playlist

Same error

Any thoughts ?

The error means you did not unzip the file properly. After you unzip, you need to copy the entire folder structure to the root of the USB stick. In Windows, you can do this in one drsg&drop.

Here's a video to show how it's done. https://youtu.be/R-b6S8LBe7g

Hi Nova227,

You may have unzipped the zip file in a way that created another folder (named same as the zip file) containing the folder named the playlist in question. In this case just copy only the latter folder to the root of the USB stick and it should work.

Best regards,
Chris

Good News

I removed all my styles from the User Drive  rebooted and Bonus Playlist   now works as before.

All the files styles that i had installed on the user area were download from the PSR site and were described as version for the sx 900. I have tryed many of the styles which were all working fine. There must be a corrupt file some where.

Any thoughts on whats going on ?

P.S> Having all the styles on the user drive works well except for this problem.

Hi Nova227,

Nice to hear it's working again. But I can't imagine what files (e.g. Style files) in the internal User drive should have to do with the functionality of Playlists (.tsv Playlist files and associated .rgt Registration Bank files) on the USB stick.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Nova

Remember that the User Drive has its own Invisible file structure.  When putting files in a folder that you may think you have is not necessarily what you think. By that I mean when you have a folder say "My Downloads" for your registrations and styles, the folder file path will be different because of the User file structure.

The USB stick with the playlist on must always show USB1 in your keyboard.

I reloaded my style collection back on the User Drive and the sx900 playlist works.  I noticed this time when I loaded the files it was much faster to copy.

Anyway problem solved.

Thanks again for all advice.

You can. You just have to be careful of the order you insert them, and the number they're assigned.
