no arpeggiator assign for Left part?

Why did Yamaha not provide a Left hand part assign option for the Arpeggiator feature? To me this is odd, as I consider an arpeggiator a backing track, like a Style, that needs to be played on the left hand, at least on an arranger, where the right hand voices can be free to play just melody, not play an arpeggio.

Apologies, as I just realized I had asked this question once before in this forum  :)  Anyone interested can search for the previous Topic: "Arpeggios in Left hand?" for some good solutions from Chris/overover and JoeH to this issue (including use of MultiPads)

Yes the Multi Pads are like backing tracks.  The arpeggiator is used for Right hand playing only.  If you experiment a little you will find that playing a melody with the arp running, or varying the number of notes you hold down will cause the arp to vary in it's playback.  If you want to use an arp as a Multi Pad, record it as a MIDI file then convert it using PadMaker-Midi

Just record the Arpeggio notes yourself into one of the style's Mains (or all of them) at the PAD section of the style in the Key of C.
That way you don't need to reach and hit a MultiPad button.

Thanks DrakeM for the tip.
Do you know if we can record an arpeggio in one of the style track, for example in Phraser 1 or 2, etc...?

Recording the arp in Style Creator also may be a good solution, as DrakeM suggests. Jeremy See demonstrated in one of his YT videos how easy it is to make your own guitar phrase.

For what I want to do, I will record an arp as a Phrase rather than a Pad. Unless there is a reason DrakeM suggested Pad. I haven't tried Style Creator yet, so don't know yet.

You need to record in the PAD in the key of C and then you may "copy & paste" and move the riff to any where in the style.

I have a post in the "Secrets Not Found in the Manual "section this tip:

As you know you have to record in the key of C only.

As you may have noticed in the past, that when you record your note phases using the STYLE CREATOR in the Bass, CHD and PHR section of a style not ALL the notes recorded correctly and/or they will not play back correctly once the style is saved or when you transpose the style into another key.

But if you record your notes (i.e. lick/phrasing) using the PAD slot of the "main", you can record ANY note there and then the keyboard will play back ALL the notes correctly (even if you transpose the key of the style). After recording in this section of the style part you can then move the recorded Pattern you just made to any of the other sections of the style by using "copy and paste." Once you have your recording in its proper location you can then adjust the Reverb and Chorus settings to your liking.

When you are recording your lick (or riff phrase) into the PAD you must also go to the PARAMETER tab. The default PLAY CHORD (in the lower right of the screen) is set on "M7" by Yamaha. You need to select the "Maj" choice, which is the first option at the top of the list. Then your recording will be recorded as you played it. Now it will not sound correct while you are in the STYLE CREATOR mode (I don't know why that is). But once you save the style and then use it in your regular playing mode, it will sound correct.

If you were finding that you could not record your own "lick/phases" into PHR1 correctly, you can move your recorded phase from the PAD section to the PHR1, and it will play correctly.

Thanks for sharing this detailed tip, Drake. I made a note of it and will follow this when I create the arp phrase.

I donlt think you could make the left split voice arpeggio but yamaha can release a firmware update to add that feature.
