Right now there are not even rumors about any new Yamaha keyboard.. there are only guesses, which are as good as mine or yours.

I expect a new Genos this year. It will be 76-key; no 61-key version.

Cheers,
Fred

Hey John :

It would be a miracle ( perhaps their first time ever ) if Yamaha should present their Genos' successor during the Namm 2023.
Never say never ...  ;)

If the Genos' successor might be introduced in 2023, it will be in September or October 2023, as usual, not earlier IMO.
Best regards, JH
I agree. You Never Know What Yamaha will Bring out during the NAMM show.

I have not detected any buzz yet about Namm, so if anything happens it will be a total surprise.
I asked E piano's Uk, but they are tight lipped and have not heard anything. :)

Oh, I've already made (and read) more than enough predictions in various other topics. The more you focus on it, the more you notice Yamaha's attitude: they have little or no interest in informing their existing customers. They assume: they will buy our stuff anyway (attitude of the year 1900?)
So I have put my crystal ball in storage for the time being and just wait for facts to emerge. I also have no problem waiting a few months until after the summer. I enjoy my SX900. Then the dust around Korg and Ketron has also settled. Then I'll see further. And summer is coming and I'm going to focus a little more on my 'summer activities'.... ;)
My best regards,
Ton

Good point. Another idea Yamaha could do if they wanted to switch it around. Is they can launch a new Genos and new psr sx series all at once. So they all come together as a family. This will put out all options for buyers at once.😎👍

The more I look around at retail stock, etc., the more I think Yamaha still has supply chain/production problems.

As to predictions, all bets are off.  ;D

Good evening,

I don't understand how one can make such assumptions that have no basis other than personal feeling.
If it is not a personal feeling as much to quote its sources.

What does "retail stocks" mean?

Yamaha will release their product which is already finalized when the time is right.
Christian

Hi Christian --

I actually agree with your last statement.  :)

By "retail stock", I mean inventory at on-line dealers. Yamaha is suffering spot shortages. As to the YC series, one retailer is expecting re-supply in October 2023, for example. Even Yamaha's own annual report to investors states supply chain issues related to shortage of critical components, i.e., production delays.

The Yamaha Europe site displays the statement, "Due to the difficulty in procuring semiconductors and procuring parts worldwide, some of our product area deliveries may be delayed. Thank you for your understanding."

I don't believe in B.S. observations, either.  ;)

All the best -- pj

Won't believe anything until I hear it from Yamaha. Absolutely no point to all this guessing.

Never say never. It will be Yamaha's time that a new keyboard releases. I hope accessibility will be a high priority as keyboards now implement touch screens, like the Genos, the PSR-SX900 and the PSR-A5000 I'm still thinking to purchase if I sell 2 or 3 of my Yamaha keyboards.
Past Yamaha keyboards that I now don't use: PSR-S710, PSR-A2000
Current Yamaha keyboard I use: PSR-A3000
Next, or future, Yamaha keyboard I will use: PSR-A5000
