Hi again everybody.

My account got nuked, didn't know about the two year thing.

Anyway I'm back. Played keyboards as a kid and teenager, it's pretty much how I learned to play piano. Had a Casio, Yamaha and eventually a Technics KN1000 which really opened my eyes to programming / sequencing.

After that came a piano and some digital ones and mostly synths in between: Yamaha S80, a Roland AX keytar (first one in white. I saw Imogen Heap play it and thought I need that), various other short term synths, mostly working on DAWs. Weirdly all that extra tech with computers, also seemed to stop me from just making music.

Eventually a Genos. I really got into it, played a lot on it and started to make some videos on YouTube.

Then came the big mistake 3 years ago, I sold the Genos!  :'( :'( I wanted to focus on piano playing and was taking lessons for grades 5 and 6 but lockdown during the pandemic soon put a stop to all that.

Wanted to get back into the keyboard game last year. I bought a PA5X 88 key. I'll spare you my thoughts as I could go on forever. But considering I'm back here it maybe says enough...
Got a second hand Genos again in December which was hardly used, a fair price, and originally bought at Bonners from what I could see (the receipt was still in the box!) in May 2022 so pretty much brand new again.

Missed it so much, it's so fricking good sound quality wise, well organised and fun to play.

Sure there are things I can hate 5 1/2 years since its release: the strings I don't think are that great, expansion is a carry on as everyone will know, lack of seamless sound switching (that is pretty nice on the PA5X), weird external monitor connection, Yamaha's still absolutely awful website (what is this registering cookie carry on at every visit about, it's horrendous and takes ages!) but in every other department the Genos is just superb!!! I hope a follow up is in the works but I also don't want it to change too much.

Glad to be back amongst likeminded individuals who are happy to share their musical journeys.

Hope you're all having a great weekend.
Without Music, Life would be a Mistake.
