Audio Quick recording not available

On my SX 900 a notice comes up saying "This function is not available now"  I would prefer not to record in midi. So if I want to make a quick recording I don't know what to do.

Make sure you have a good quality USB stick installed as the SX900 records Audio straight to this.

What else are you doing at the same time? For example are you in the style creator / song creator page? If you just switch the machine on, and immediately attempt an audio quick recording, does it work then?
