I decided to buy a Yamaha PSR-SX900 anyway. I had the money and don't want to regret buying an E473 or SX700 later. My first impression: overwhelming. I'll try to update the firmware first and then we'll see. This will get me through the winter. And I can always find or ask for help here if needed.

For sure, you will be a happy keyboarder ;) Take a look for the EQ settings (I prefer those from Robinez, or try Gold EQ). Don't forget to pay attention to your family ;D
My best regards,
Ton

Unless you're accessing the forum in a different way, it is the board listed directly below this one on the main forum page.  Start with psrtutorial.com, then click "forum" at the top of the page, and then the list of topics/sections comes up.  The one for the SX600/700/900 is listed right below the one for the E-series.

Congrats! Better sound quality and styles availability makes it a way better purchase than the the E series.

Now is the time for you to sit down with the owners manual and go through it page by page and discover all the wonderful things you can achieve with this fantastic arranger keyboard. Then, post some songs for us to hear.

All the best,

My bad!  I thought that when you said "How do I get there?", that you were asking how to find the PSR-SX part of the forum, not how to actually move an existing thread to that part of the forum!

Good call.  You'll love it.  And, like a computer, you'll never be able to do everything of which the keyboard is capable.  Coming up on two years with mine, and I'm still discovering new things every week.  It's a gas.  Congrats!

Congratulations Duurduur!
Have fun.

This week I've been working almost alone with the various settings. That gives me enough headaches already. From the manual to the keyboard and back again. Have now connected everything: powered speakers (with subwoofer), sustain pedal, rf headphones. Ordered a microphone also but still waiting.
So it will be a while before I really get to play.
But I'm already enjoying it very much.
