Is there an easy way to slow down or speed up the tempo of a performance for one measure only - in the middle of a song?

Is there an easy to to mute all accompaniment for one measure only - in the middle of a song?

Thanks!

Use the sync Stop button and lift your hand for that bar and everything will stop until you play the next chord. Remember then to turn the sync stop button off for the rest of the song. The other way is to set a registration button with all style parts turned down and use this.

I would use registrations for this. Take a look at my videos (link in signature).

Hi Digital Gee,

if you use the Sync Stop feature, you could define a so called "Synchro Stop Window" in the Style Setting display:

Quote SX900 Reference Manual, page 12:

Synchro Stop Window

This determines how long you can hold a chord before the Synchro Stop function is automatically
cancelled. When the [SYNC STOP] button is turned on and this is set to a value other than "Off,"
the Synchro Stop function is automatically cancelled if you hold a chord for longer than the time set
here. This conveniently resets Style playback control to normal, letting you release the keys and
still have the Style play. In other words, if you release the keys more quickly than the time set here,
the Synchro Stop function works.

If you set the value here cleverly, you can play normally with the "Sync Stop" function switched on, and only if you release the left-hand keys very quickly will the accompaniment stop. (Of course, "Sync Start" should also be switched on at the same time, so that the accompaniment starts again with the next chord played.)

By the way, the Synchro Stop Window setting is automatically memorized to Registrations when the "Style" box is ticked.

Best regards,
Chris
