Last night
Out door gig
LIGHTS on the same circuit
Continued to shut down one or. Both sides of PA
and the t4

I think deep in my memory ( 1970's maybe )
I experienced this annoying issue
But question
What does turning off this way threaten to do to t4?

Turned off about 10 Times last night

The lights were the culprit
Thank you
I use T4 as a drum machine. Playing my own acmp and bass. MIDI songs are my latest interest. If anyone wishes to share knowledge on MIDI songs let me know.

Usually, no damage during the shutdown. However, when the power comes back on this is when you must rely on a high-quality surge protector to prevent any damage during startup.

Hope this answers your question,

In these situations you need an acoustic accordion😀😀😀 The T4 has the old style meghanical power button. So, when power fails, turn it off by pushing the power button once. I think this will make the Tyros stay off when power comes back. But take this sdvice with a grain of salt because I have not actually tested it on my T5.

Get a UPS with surge protection. If you only power up the keyboard, then it's pretty cheap.

One of the first things I did when I got my Genos was to buy a UPS for it. They don't call the power company here "Florida Flicker and Flash" for no reason.

BTW, get a pure sine wave UPS. They are much easier on electronics and other electrical equipment.
Genos, Korg Kronos, two left feet for hands.  :(
