Sorry if this has been asked before. I have an SX700 and I could not figure out how to set the date. All my recordings show the same date and it is annoying.  It must be straight forward but don't have a clue.  :-\

Hi artemike,

The only way to set the date and time is to connect the SX700 to the local WiFi router using the Yamaha WiFi stick "UD-WL01" (available separately). Note that these settings can be lost if the keyboard is not switched on for several days.

Basically, I don't think it's particularly important that files created on the keyboard (e.g. recordings) have the current date / time. Just rename the files, e.g. with the song name, and you will find everything. :)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

It is annoying for backup files so I always rename them to contain the date in the filename.

Just rename the file on the computer and you have the date.

Toril, on Windows 10, renaming a file does not change the creation date but you could make a copy of the file to create a new file with the date of the computer.
