So if you know the PSR-195, PSR-240, PSR-248, PSR-140, and PSR-79, then you probably know what I'm talking about. The pianist styles came from the CVP-98, and I couldn't find them. I found Honky-Tonk, Piano Ballad, Pop Ballad, Rock & Roll, Swings, Ragtime, and Cha Cha. But I'm looking for is:

2beat
8beat
Arpeggio 1-3 (Sounds different than PSR-9000)
Dance Pop
Rock Piano
Tight Rock
Jazz Waltz (Believe sounds different than the PSR-9000)
Beguine (Believe sounds different than the PSR-9000)
March (Believe sounds different than the PSR-9000)
6/8 March (Believe sounds different than the PSR-9000)
Galop

These are all CVP-98 styles and I was hoping for you guys to send me the files for these styles.

Hi Elias,

To do a Google search to find the term "pianist" on the site "www.psrtutorial.com/sty/", please click on the following link:

>>> https://www.google.de/search?q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fpsrtutorial.com%2Fsty%2F+%22pianist%22

I recommend that you click on all the search results one after the other (depending on the browser, this can be several pages). This way you will find many "Pianist" styles from PSR and CVP models.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Elias,

You didn't specify which keyboard you have here. In another post from you I just saw that you have a PSR-E353.

Please note: The PSR-E353 can only read styles in the "old" style file format "SFF" (also called "SFF1". However, preset styles of models from Tyros3 and PSR-S910 and styles of newer CVP models have the current format "SFF2" (also called "SFF GE") and can therefore not be loaded on the E353.

As far as I know, the E353 can only load (SFF1) styles up to a size of about 50 kB.

To check if the style format is SFF1 or SFF2 you can use the "Style Format Finder" program:
>>> http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sff/index.htm

SFF2 styles can be converted into SFF1 format with the "SFF 2 Format Converter" program:
>>> http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sf2c/index.htm

To "remix" styles or to remove unsupported style variations (also to reduce the file size) you can use the "Style Remixer" program:
>>> http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sremix/index.htm

In many cases it will be necessary to "revoice" some of the Style Parts for use with the E353. You can use the "Style Revoicer" program, for example:
>>> http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/revsty/index.htm

In addition, as far as I know, the E353 does not have a USB-to-device port for connecting a USB flash drive. The only way to load new styles should therefore be to connect the E353 to the PC and use the Yamaha "MusicSoft Downloader" program.

Best regards,
Chris

Thank You, I already have all the downloads, but I'm still can't find the pianist styles from the CVP-98.

Thank you for your quick feedback, Elias! My remarks here are certainly also of interest to other users. :)

The CVP-98 was introduced in 1997/98. It has a floppy disk drive, but as far as I can see from the manuals, you can only load style files from disk, but NOT save the internal preset styles on disk. Therefore it will be difficult to get the CVP-98 preset styles, because they could not be exported/saved directly to disk (but, as I suspect, only via the "Custom Style to Disk" function).

Then possibly the only way to get these styles is Custom Styles.

According to the manual, the CVP-89 can only save all 12 Custom Styles to disk at the same time (as one single file, which can then only be reloaded back into the CVP-89). It looks like there is no way to save the Preset Styles individually as normal Style files.
