Hello, I am been searching through my list of SX700 downloaded styles in Sytle $12 & 14 and some others but can not  seem to find one for Eric Clapton's acoustic version.  I don't know anything about creating a style so wondering if anyone has one or even know of a good style that I might be able to start with and play from there.  I am not a Clapton fan, but I would like to surprise a good friend who is.   Regards  dom

Hello Luis.  I can't thank you enough.  Three styles and each one is so beautifully comprised and articulated.  My friend will be very impressed, and it's a known fact that I am not talented to put this arrangement together so he will know that credit goes to you.  All the best!             regards dom

Perhaps I can ask a simple and maybe sill question here.  Note that I can not read a single note of music but I can play most anything I hear right to the note.  But something I don't understand is when I am in style mode and I play a left hand chord, I see the chord "name" changes for exactly the same fingering.  Example  C#m and Dbm.. I do not change the fingering.  Is there some logic that the keyboard uses that maybe a music fundamental thing that someone that can read sheet music would better understand?  Thanks in advance.

c#m and Db are exactly the same fingering wise, you would encounter one or the other depending on what key you are playing in.

Since you do not read music it may not matter to you at all.

Ron, this makes more sense as I can now see how it is being triggered, whereas  before I had no idea why.   That was simple.  Thank you.     dom

I have about 30 styles for this song, Dom.  I'm certain many of them are duplicates, but if you would like to try other, please let me know.  Some of them are specifically identified with Eric Clapton's name.  :)

Hello Roger.  I have been utubing some of Eric's song as I had never been a fan. And the reason for Layla sparked some interest. So after listening to all his songs, the only ones that would motivate to spend time to learn and play would be Cocaine, I shot the Sheriff, Call Me the Breeze, Give me one Reason, Wonderful tonight. Also I see there are two versions of Layla.  I have the acoustic guitar which I just down loaded and have that almost down pat. Very nice version. I have heard the other upbeat version more like Derek & The Dominos and that too sounds great.
So to your offer, that is very gracious of you and sure.  I never pass on good things.  I always say that I have a lifetime to enjoy and my priorities are family, cars, interesting people and lately have put more of a focus on music and this SX700 has really cracked open a who new world not only for music, but for the interactions that I have been having with all you wonderful people in this forum. I see your name on the boards and admire your willingness to be there to comment offer and help.  At the end of the day you should be proud of what you do and the value to bring to others.
       Sincerly,  Thank you!                 dom

Hi Dom,

Thank you so much for your very kind words.  :)

As I suspected, there were several duplicate "Layla" files, so I sorted them and have attached 14 style files for you to try.  :)
