This will be my third year of retirement and not performing on stage on New Years Eve. It is nice being around the house, not worrying about drunks on the road and crazy people driving drunk when they cannot even walk safely. I sincerely wish everyone here on the forum a Healthy, Happy New Year.

Hi Gary!
Happy New Year!
Yes, I stopped playing New Year's Eve gigs about 15 years ago...mainly for the same reason as you.
When I did play them before that, it always seemed to be bad weather here in Ontario, Canada (cold and snowy).
And when mixed with all the drunks on the road as well, it meant for a very scary ride home for me after the gigs!
Plus, the late night playing became very tiring as well...
Nice to just stay home for sure!

Happy New Year 2021 to you and your loved ones, Gary.

I worked nearly six hours last night...maybe I won't do that again.  :)  Didn't get up until noon today.
Anyway, happy new year to all!
