Hi all!
I got a .ppi file for the Yamaha s770 and tried to install it on my s775, but no luck. Is it possible the convert somehow this to work with my s775?

I only got this file, no ppf, and cannot use it in YEM.

I also tried extracting styles with Styleextractor, but when I tried to play sty files generated they still won't play on my keyboard. Maybe it's missing voices that extracted from ppi, but style extractor generated only drm&vce files which I can't do anything with.

I hope someone can help & thanks in advance!

Hi
If you know the name of the pack and it is a Yamaha pack, you may be able to get the original ppf file for your 975. They are now free from Yamaha.

It's not true

Hi bernamato,

if you know how to "convert" a .ppi file to be used with a different keyboard model, please post it here. I do not know any easy method to do this. (Maybe a hex editor can be used to change some hexadecimal bytes inside a .ppi file to fit a different model, but this could only be done by very experienced users.)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

You need a PPF file to use in YEM and you can not convert a PPI to do so.

You say right.

If you have the PPI file there must be a PPF file that you can download from Yamaha or purchase if third party pack.
