Thank you Norman, but I got mistaken on the subject: it's not about editing OTS's - it's about editing Main Variation buttons.... I changed it in the "subject
" line.... My bad....

Hello

I think it's the same as in other keyboards.

Choose the style you want to change.
Go to style creator.
Select the part you want to change (A, B, C, ...)
Go to Assembly
And choose the track, part and other style you want to copy to that style. Repeat until change all you want.
Save it to a new style.

If you want to create a new style from scratch, or record new parts, check my tutorial at

Thank you very much, Pedro! I was able to change some but not everything. i couldn't turn off a "Rytm 2" channel because there is no option "Off" in column " Play type" like for any other channel. There are only two options: "solo" and "On". Any advice?

I'd like to thank Pedro for the link to his video on YouTube. It is excellent. I've never used the Style Creator before as I generally never use my Genos without a live drummer. This has obviously changed with lockdown.
I used the Style Creator this week for the first time following Pedro's guide & I'm really impressed with the instructions.
Thanks Pedro.

Hi bolepa,
you can also watch this video for your Tyros and the assembly function:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgGatUmhVqw&t=258s

I think that the reason that you are not able to mute the Rhy2 channel is that as you enter the tab called "Basic",
the Rhy2 channel is autommaticaly at REC mode.(press F to see that).

Now by pressing the little button 2 under your screen it turns to "On" mode as the rest of the channels.
(You have two rows of buttons under the screen, press number 2 which is at the lower row).

If you want to delete a channel, press J and with a second finger press a number from the upper row buttons this time.
E.g. J+2 deletes the rhy 2 channel.

Thank you, Panos! I think I got it.... Will try soon and let you know if this worked.

Hi bolepa,

to turn off a Style Part (= Style Channel) press "Channel On/Off" button (if necessary twice), until you see the "Channel On/Off (Style)" display. Use the upper/lower buttons 1 - 8 to turn the desired Channels On or Off.

Then save this setting to a Registration:

• Press "Memory" button.
Be sure to have ticked (at least) the "Style" checkbox and both boxes "Voice" and "Harmony". "Style" saves all Style related settings, including the LEFT Voice (!), "Voice" saves all RIGHT Voice settings. "Harmony" is necessary so that the current status of the "Harmony / Echo" function is restored later through the Registration (setting and on/off status).

• Press the desired Reg Memory button (1 - 8 ) to memorize your current Panel settings on it.

• Finally press the two buttons "Regist Bank +/-" at the same time (OR, if you are in the Main display, press button "J") and save the current Registration BANK as a file in the user drive, on the internal hard drive or on the connected USB stick).

Instead of using "Channel On/Off", you can also use the Mixing Console: Press "Mixing Console" button (if necessary several times), until you see the "Mixing Console (Style Part)" display. Here you can set the Volume of each Style Part. You can e.g. set certain parts to a lower volume value or set them to zero (using the upper / lower buttons 1 - 8 or the corresponding Sliders). Then save you current settings to a Registration button as described before.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Thank you, Chris. I believe I was able to accomplish my task. One last question: if I don't want to save it to registration but rather as a style, should I just save this changed style under different name?

Hi bolepa,

you cannot save the Channel On/Off status "OFF" directly to a Style file.

The easiest way is saving ("memorizing") ALL your Panel settings for a particular Song to Registrations (e.g. the settings for Style, Voices, Split Points, Pedals etc.). Also the current Style Section (e.g. Main A) is memorized to the Reg button. (If a FILL IN should be played on pressing a Reg button later, press the Main Variation Button TWICE (so it FLASHES) and memorize this status to the Reg button.)

Use several Reg buttons for the individual parts of your Song. (Of course, you can also use the Style Control buttons.) Note: Remember to turn the "OTS Link" button OFF when working with Registrations.

If you "absolutely" want to save a Style file with a Part "switched off", you can proceed as follows:

A. If the changes in the Mixing Console should apply to the complete Style (to ALL Sections):
1. Load the Style.
2. Open "Mixing Console (Style Part).
3. Make the desired changes, e.g. turn the Volume of the desired Parts (= Channels) to ZERO.
4. NOW open "Style Creator" and SAVE the Style (using a new/changed filename) in the User drive, on the internal hard disk or on a USB stick.

B. If the changes in the Mixing Console should apply to ONE SECTION ONLY (e.g. to Main A only):

1. Load the Style.
2. Open "Style Creator".
3. Select the desired Style Section (e.g. Main A).
4. NOW open "Mixing Console (Style Part)".
5. Make the desired changes (e.g. Part Volume to ZERO).
6. Press "EXIT" button to leave the "Mixing Console").
7. Now you are back in "Style Creator" again.
8. Press "EXECUTE" to apply the changes to the Style.
9. Press "SAVE" button to save the changed Style.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
