Hi Guys :

I am looking for a win program that is able to remove all effects ( reverb, echo etc. ) from a WAV file, e.g.WAV Adlibs ...

A wishful dream or is it available ?

Your input would be very much appreciated.

Thank you, Babette

That's Not possible
The effects are recorded in the wave file

Hi Babette,

this is a wishful dream! ;)

You should first record everything as a MIDI file. Here you can change ... everything.

You can only make global changes to a WAV recording afterwards, e.g. edit with Compressor / EQ. Since there are no longer any individual tracks / channels, you can no longer process the original individual signals separately when recorded as a WAV.

What you can do, of course, is to use a DAW like Cubase and do Audio Multi Track recordings. Record all individual tracks here completely "dry" (without effects). Then you can edit each individual track separately afterwards (e.g. add effects).

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

You can reduce some of the reverb with Izotope RX De-Reverb.
Google it for more info and demos.

As it was explained to me years back from someone in this forum. It is like baking a cake. You blend it all together and cook it. Then try and remove the flour, sugar, and water from it! It's impossible.
