Hi,
This forum has been a fantastic source for well designed styles.  My instrument is the DGX-650.

One tune I've always wanted to play on the keyboards is "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" by the Beatles.  Besides for having a tough (at least for me) chord structure I notice in a songbook that I have that part of the song, the start, is in 3/4 time but then it switches to 4/4 time.

I don't know how style files are made and what limitations there are to them but I am curious whether a style file exists for this song such that the Main A style is in 3/4 time and then the Main B track is in 4/4.   Somewhere along the line I downloaded a style for this song but it appears that both Main A and Main B are in  3/4 time.

This is not possible. What you would do is use registrations to call up a 3/4 style then a 4/4 style at the appropriate point.

You can't do it from the keyboard itself but YES there are tricks experienced style creators use on their computers with specialized software and they can produce this signature changes from 4/4 to 3/4 and back.
As far as I understand you don't have the experience and the equipment to do it so maybe you can search on specialized e-shops who sell styles for Yamaha arrangers a "song style" especially for the song you want to play. In most cases with just a few dollars you can have what you search for, although I'm not 100% sure that you can find the style for this particular song.

A program that makes it easy to take various measures is called Style Time Editor and can be downloaded from here.

But as Mike and danadn have suggested to you, it's easier to solve this with two registrations calling for different rhythms.
