Yesterday while playing my Genos it suddenly went off key for example when i played a C Chord the Genos played a E7 and this is what showed on the home screen
The only way to over come this was to revert to factory setting
Has this happened to any other forum members ?

What fingering were you using.

Did you use the transpose knob
Look in the right upper in the main screen
Check the transpose setting it must be zero

Dear friend,

You may wish to check out the fingering mode your keyboard is set at.. If it's not set to FINGERED some weird things could happen. Just like what you described in your post.

You can adjust this in the function menu, all the best and stay safe

Hi Tyroslover,

did you possibly work with Registrations that you did not create yourself (but bought or received from other users)?

Such Registrations could have changed the Fingering (if not locked in "Parameter Lock") and / or Transpose.

P.S.
To be on the safe side, please check also your MIDI setting. (Usually one of the MIDI templates "All Parts" or "KBD & STYLE" should be set.)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Try going to Menu,
Then on menu 2 open "Transpose" and make sure that Master, Keyboard and Song are all set
to 0.

This happens when we sometimes try a song or registration in another key, and then save
our settings without restoring the transposition back to Zero.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Abby.

PS: Funny thing though,  this never happened in the 9 years that I had my Tyros3.
