Am I correct in thinking it's not possible to have two effects blocks assigned to on a right hand part.

Ie A guitar sound on Right 1 + Effects Block 2 and 3 ?

You can have more than one DSP on the Right Hand Voice.

Just Assign Two DSPs to the same Right Hand.

To locate DSP Page.

Press Direct Access, then Press DSP , in the Mixing Console Panel press Type.
On that page you can assign the DSP

The other way to reach the same page.
Head to the Mix Console Panel.
Use tab left or right to reach the " Effect Page "
Then press Type.

Hope this helps you.
Regards Norman.

And if you're looking for 1 DSP to work on two or more Right hand Voices it's not possible.

Is it best to save as a registration or via voice set.

Whats the difference between effects in voice set and the mixer effects ?

I take it reverb and chorus effects are assigned to all sounds ?

Other effects by the effects block.

Yes,  they are usually set as System Effects. If you assign a DSP as a System Effect (as opposed to Insertion) it is also possible to apply a DSP to a range of voices by setting their Send levels above zero.

DSP 1 and Reverb And Chorus are all part of the same block.

That means all the Channel, Song and style parts which includes right hand Voices.
Will have the same Effect.
You can control the amount of effect for each channel.

So what about Effects used in the voice set function ?
  •

Normanfernandez

It's the same thing..

But for DSP the keyboard Assigns it's own block to the voice.

DSP1 - which is the XG Variation Effect - can only apply to the style or song parts, not the L/R1/R2/R3 panel voices.

It can either be used as an insertion (targetting one part only) or as a system (applies to all style and song parts, but you choose how much each is affected).

Same for chorus and reverb, except they apply to all style, song, and panel voice parts. Again you choose how much each is affected.

The chorus block contains quite a range of effects though.

The effects selection on the mixer pages gives you an overview, which will show you which effect block is assigned to which part. This is useful because if, say, you are setting up a MIDI song with effects then because you only have a few to play with, the assignments can be unexpectedly "stolen" while you are setting things up.

The effect selection on Voice Set applies only to the specific voice part that you're editing. It doesn't tell you which effect block it's using.

So if an individual sound created using the voice set has reverb, does this get replaced by reverb in the Mixer Reverb ?

If that Reverb is used via DSP, Excluding DSP 1. Then it can have it's own unique reverb or anything else.

Reverb and Chorus only has set levels in the voice set page. ( System Effect )

Which is the same in the mixing console.
