I have 2 songs loaded in Songplayer, a MP3 in Slot A and a MIDI in Slot B.
I want to completly remove the Slot B song so that the blue light play/pause button is off.

I can not figure out how to do....??

Try hitting the "Song" button twice, and then exit.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for your reply.

Hitting Song button twice certainly cleared the A and B songs slot but it also put the Song Player in Songlist Mode, something I dont want.
I still need to have a mp3 song loaded in slot A and have nothing in Slot B

I hate to start most of my registrations set up from scratch just to have Song B emptied.....

By starting the Song Recording, we delete the song inserted in the Song Player.  ;)

Hi,

If its a midi song , on the screen at the top is a section for Song list , I touch that on the right to make it go to the song list and then press new and switch back to song player and the song has gone, this works on the SX700.

Genos does not delete Songs as is the case with the sx700.

No. And if you start a recording while a midi song is in the player youvoverwrite it. Same with PSR. So I wonder how to dehighlight a song. I have to turn of my keyboards and start again to get a clean slate.

I don't know how it is on the SX700. Genos deletes content in Song Player by running Song Recording. I showed this in the video in my post.

But I do not want my song to be deleted orvoverwritten.

Tested and it works, thank you.
It does not overwrite the loaded song

As stated above but.....!!!!!

It appears that registration buffer still have the MIDI song in memory and when I save the registration (including MIDI song enabled) it still saves the "old" song. Old song back when I load registration again.

I think this must be fixed by Yamaha. I dont want a loaded song which is a quite different song than I'm currently playing. I want only the blue light in the player section on for valid songs...

Any more feedback ??
