I don't understand something and maybe someone can shed some light on this

I'm installing Yem on a new computer.  Is there a way to make a simple Backup of all my Packs?
How do I simply Mirror my Yem from one computer to the other?

Stijn

YEM Backup

Moving from an old to a new computer?
Then you should copy this folder

"C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Yamaha\Expansion Manager"  to  a usb drive and paste it into the new computer.

XXX = User Name

Super Helpful!

Thank you so much

Can i just copy the "PACKS" Folder?

I don't have any file in the WAV folder and would like to keep the new YEM files with no change

So basically not copying the entire "expansion manager" folder but rather only the "Packs"

Is this Good?

Stijn

I would copy the whole structure, to be on the save side.
It are empty folders, so they don't take up any space.

Since the Genos_InstrumentInfo.n27 file of Genos 2.0 is different from firmware 1.41, you have to re-export the Genos_InstrumentInfo.n27 file from your Genos to a USB drive:
Menu -> Menu2 -> Expansion -> Export Instrument Info

Then, in YEM, delete the Genos under "Install Target" on the left.  Then click the "+" to import the new Instrument Info file using the Genos_InstrumentInfo.n27 on the USB drive.
