Hi,

I like the new update very much. The implementation of chord looper is really great.

I am glad, that they finally fixed that midi song keeps being loaded when starting and exiting multi recording. This was standard on Tyros and PSR-S, and now finally it works on Genos.

But there still are a few small points that have not been fixed:

* Multi FX DSP still does not work with wah pedal
* rotary speed still cannot be switched by external midi controller (MFC10)
* when using multiple DSPs on one part, parameters cannot be edited (was only possible with 1.02).

You know some more minor bugs that have not been fixed?

As prior to v2, parameters can still be edited on 1 of the DSP's of a "stack" of them but you have to leave the remaining DSP's as Presets. The way over this is to first edit the additional ones  as you want and save them as Users. Now you can stack them and they will behave as edited presets...... which they are ::)
A potential problem was we were limited to only 10 slots for Users which may not be enough for some. V2 overcame this limitation  by adding an extra 30 so we now total 40.
Although remaining somewhat clunky (a Yamaha characteristic) for me the occasional need for multiple edited DSP's is now covered and I can forget 1.02. The latter's Dsp handling, possibly for some compatibility reason does not seem to work longer term for Yamaha and no longer exists  ;)  ;) ;) :o

Hey John,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, that seems to be the better solution. Thanks for explaining.

Hi voodoo

The V2 is best update Yamaha ever lounched but as you said there is something more to fix.

The "Terca"  or "User harmony" Yamaha started in very good way but Is NOT finished yet completely.

So I hope in next coming updated Yamaha will finsh "USER HARMONY"

After update (V2) the response and loading time is very long , a style change cost sometimes more than 30 seconds !?
And again it freeze between changing registrations ??

That  they stil not make the Rotary possible in the external controller is stil a big mis for me ( get used to it in al my Tyross 0-5)  :-[

And why isnt there a good solution to root the  overdrive effects in the Rotary effect ???

Here's a regression from Tyros and other arrangers: We cannot select and use a USER style in MIDI Multi Recording Chord Step Edit.

Come on, Yamaha. I want to use styles that I purchased from Musicsoft to write songs (starting with a lead sheet).

P.S. If you add a USER style to FAVORITES, step edit can find it, but does not load the USER style when it is selected.

I assume it is a little quicker to add a Style file to Favorites but I still can't understand why a Folder marked Favorites is regarded as so much more desirable and maybe a selling point, than a folder(s) of your own like MyStyles, or MyBalladStyles, or even MyFavStyles  ::) :D
