Please see attached samples of two Waltz Midi Songs and 2 Waltz Styles.

When I load the midi song and play the song file and select either of the styles it plays OK with no problem to synchronize.

However, when I load the midi song to do recording " MULTI RECORDING " the style does not synchronize (off beat). WHY?????

Is there any WALTZ STYLE that can synchronize with the attached Midi Song?

Please see attached ZIP folder of Midi Song & Waltz Style.

Thanks for your help.

Oz

If you are trying to record this as a midi, which is the case with multi recording, then it likely will not synchronize, too many different clocks running. You should be able to record audio.

Hi Mike,

I need to do a MIDI File in order to view the Melody Line to play along with the background track.

If I do Wave or MP3 file then I will have to print the score sheet for melody line which I want to avoid to play with the Wave or MP3 file.

Thanks

I don't think that you can record midi when playing a midi.

If plan A doesn't work, don't forget that the alphabet has 25 more letters.

It can't be done.  You need to print out the score.

Hi everyone,

You can record Genos style and mix it with an Original Midi file.

Here is a finished remixed Midi File of CRAZY #1 (by Patsy Cline) mixed with Genos Style ' COUNTRY SWING BALLAD '

You have to make sure that the original Midi file the tracks are on 1 through 8 ( the tracks 9 to 16 should be empty to use the Genos style).

Using cakewalk program I have added blank measures to cover for the INTRO of Country Swing Ballad before the actual song starts

Using CRAZY #5 midi file proceed as follows:

Select the style 1st i.e. COUNTRY SWING BALLAD
Go to Menu (main panel on right side next to HOME)
Select MENU 2 (or Menu 1 can't remember as my keyboard is packed for a gig)
Select MULTI RECORDING
Load the Midi FIle #5 (example CRAZY tracks 9 to 16 are blank)
Press channels 9 to 16 (you will see REC in red appearing on channels 9 to 16)
PLAY THE " A CHORD " ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE KEYBOARD TO START RECORDING THE INTRO and continue to play the progression chord for the entire song
Press END III to finish recording

travlin-easy

Oz, I will try to get to this sometime tomorrow afternoon. (Too many irons in the fire,) However, you can add additional tracks while the midi is playing, as long as those tracks are recorded on an open or blank channel. I have done this many times.

Good luck,
