I guess, you actually have tried the option "Modify Profile - Forum Profile - Personalized Picture - Specify avatar by URL".

In this case, I suppose that the URL must link directly to a picture, for example ".../domain-name/folder/picture_name.jpg".

Unfortunately, the picture you have linked in that way has NOT such a URL, but:

https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNISeGBwMjAgycOEky-C-KD7l1Kg1W7v9y9n4qAAbMuDyt_cl08iii2fLU-4hbiCw?key=eGZxam5SQlFWWTQ1TENQb1pHVWpsYlY2NVZSdk93

This may be the reason that the picture is not displayed as your avatar.

You could do the following: Use a picture, which is already on your PC's hard drive, or save that picture from Google Photos to your PC now. Then use the option "Upload an avatar" to upload the picture directly to the Psrtutorial server.

Thank you but when I try to upload a picture here I get this message:

"The avatar you have selected is either too large or not an avatar"

Hi Rodrigo,

an avatar picture should have a size of only a few kilobytes (KB). Be sure your picture is a .jpg, .png or .gif file with a size below about 300 KB.

MY avatar (the CAT picture) is only 19 KB (@70x70 pixels) ...

You can resize (decrease) larger pics with e. g. Windows "Paint" program or another graphics tool or an online tool like one of these:

For those of you having trouble uploading your Avatar, just email me your photo and I will resize and upload it for you.  I'll also return the resized photo to you for your archives.  I've helped many members by doing this in the past.
