How do I assign sustain only to one OTS when changing OTS in a style using T5?

Hello friends :) I have encountered a problem on my T5: I have changed the OTS voices and Multipads of a style, and no problem with that. But I want sustain only in OTS 2. But if I apply sustain it goes for all the OTS buttons! I believed all panel settings could be stored this way. Is there a solution? I have tried several times, but same reslut. Sustain is either on or off on all OTS buttons. Strange....

Hi Toril,

The 'Parameter Chart' in both the Tyros5 and PSR-S975 'Data List', confirms that Panel Sustain is not stored with Style OTS.

The only place that it is stored is in a Registration, as part of the 'Voice' group settings, assuming this is checked when the reg. is memorised.

Toril you may want to try the "Release" effect for each individual voice.

Press the voice button,
then look for "voice edit" on your screen
(It is probably the small upper button with number 6)
Then search the tab with that effect.
Maybe it is at the 3rd tab in your models too(tab SOUND).
Give it a number let's say between 20-35.
It depends by the voice, the song, the tempo, your playing etc.
I don't know the impact with the "after touch" effect of your Tyros though and how it will sound :)

It is not exactly a sustain effect but pretty similar.
The voice will continue to be heard for a little while after you raise your fingers from the keyboard (the voice will "fade out") and it can be saved in style's OTS for each voice.

Toril,
If you are using OTS and not registrations you have to turn on the panel sustain for the OTS that needs it and remember to turn it off when you move to another OTS in that style.
But if it helps you can in effect disable the panel sustain even when you forget to turn it back off for that style by editing the panel sustain down to zero for those voices in Voice Set and resaving those OTS's. I think on Ty5 panel sustain  is on the first page (Common?) of Voice Set.
