What do I need to hook up open text to psr 3000?

I assume I'm going to need to connect kb to the laptop containing Open Text with some sort of interface.   I would also like to be able to run some vst's from a separate controller.  I think this is all possible but really don't know to do it.  Help would be most appreciated.

You will need a USB A to USB B cable. (Printer cable) for running Open Text.
