Hi all,

Let's say I'm playing the left part using a 'string' setting and I decide I would like
that part on, say R3. To do that, do I then have to select the R3 blue lamp and  page
through until I get to the same 'page' as the left part ? (by which time, I have forgotten what
I was doing) or is there some way of short-cutting across?

Also, I keep seeing the term 'pad' here and there. I understand when and how it applies to
the multi-pad system, but, am I missing something - is there some other generic meaning for 'pad'?

Thanks for reading

best wishes - Jim

You can save the voice as a user voice in the user area or USB - then you can select it directly for R2 or R3.

A "pad" voice is the kind of voice that you use to play sustained backing chords. A typical pad will have a bit of movement in the sound, often applied through a flange or phase DSP, or tinkling bells, etc. Pads are also often layered behind a strong clear voice like a piano.

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the reply....

I was hoping for an easy way of selecting the right hand part, but
looks like there is no easy route but thanks for trying.

Thanks for the info re the 'pad'....that makes sense, so
thanks a lot.
