Hi,
I have my eyes on a PSR-S775 that has dropped in price to 799 euros.
To me a keyboard is all about accompaniment/styles.
I have not purchased it yet, because I have not found a good dance/disco style collection for this keyboard, I know it has it's own dance factory styles, and I've heard them on youtube, but those are not enough for me.
I'm a bit lost on the main PSR Tutorial site, so I wonder if someone could point me to the best collection(s) of styles for the PSR-S775 in the dance/disco cattegory.
I saw the "Styles #12" collection which looks to have styles in the SFF2 format which I suppose can work on the S775, but I have no way to see the list of styles names.
Another question: how many styles can I load in the PSR-S775?

best regards,
Alvaro

Hi Alvaro,
The psr S series/Tyros/Genos have no limit on styles.
You can have as much as you want on a usb stick.

The limit is when you buy packs of styles that are copy protected and you have to load them on the internal memory which is not unlimited so they can use the new drumsets and voices the stylemaker used to make the styles.
So you must choose wisely the packs from Yamaha or other stylemakers that you want to buy(If you want and decide to buy something)

All the dance styles that made on an older or newer keyboards can play on the s775.
But you need to use the mixing console to change voices and add effects or even delete parts.
Furthermore you can mix parts of the styles to make new styles.(You don't have to record anything by yourself, is a simple copy-paste function).

If you like the sounds of new EDM music then Jan's (purchased) packs will be useful to you.

Pro style music has also nice styles that cost too low and they will use your keyboards drumkits and voices.
They don't need internal free space(except from the packs)

And of course there are songstyles in Yamaha musicsoft and from other stylemakers.

Ocanimus' styles for the s970 should sound good at the s775 (not all the voices)

I have an s750 and didn't have a problem yet to play a song on my keyboard.
I choose to play a song first and then I am looking for a suitable style.
Not the opposite way.
I never had a problem finding/making one and I like the process to use the keyboard's function to make/change a style for a song.
Don't ask me which key has two flats,I need to take a look at the keybed first.
The Assembly function rules!  ;D
