I have recorded a song using internal styles at slow speed (because of the melody line to ensure correct notes are played)
and saved as a MIDI File.

One way to increase the speed is to use manually the TEMPO (+ or -).

Is there a way to adjust the tempo for the Midi file and save it permenantly say from 80 bpm to 125 bpm??

Thanks
Oz

Yes there is .You need to go into SYS EX  Go to Song Record and select multi. Load in your song and press Step Edit. Press the track number at the left of the screen. It usually defaults to 1. Now on page three of the drop down menu select Sys Ex. Some where at the top of the screen you will see Tempo and this will show the tempo you have recorded at. Alter that to the speed you want. You can try it by starting the song. If it is OK for you then press SAVE.

Hi Oz,

You can also change the tempo using the 'Setup' page of the 'MIDI Multi Recording' display (press [RECORDING] > MIDI [Multi Recording]).  You may find that this way is the easiest too.

The process is described in the section 'Recording Panel Setups to a Song' on page 73 of the Genos Owner's Manual.

If you change the tempo of the song using the panel buttons, the new tempo will be included in the song if you have the 'Tempo' box checked on the Setup page and you press 'Execute'.

Finally 'Close' the Setup page and save the song to keep the new tempo.
