Hi Rodrigo --

Perhaps you can say a little more about what's wrong? Is the file bad, voice missing, ... ?

Thanks -- pj

I think is voice missing because a lot of the instruments are remplaced automatically with piano sounds

If you had sent the file Earlier
( Few hours ago ) I could have done a test.

Will have to wait till New year.

It sounds like you just need to use a revoicing utility to replace any PSR-E specific voices with PSR-S voices. Mix Master or Midi Revoicer should be able to handle that. :)

PS-- You might also need to check the effects, because I think PSR-E models use different MSB/LSB values than PSR-S models.

When I'm free later I'll take a look at it.

I'm confused about where this MIDI song file came from.

In this thread and in another thread you've mentioned a song named "Elements" which you said was a demo song from the PSR-E413:

https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,47466.msg371886.html

But I don't see how this file could have come from a PSR-E413, because it uses GM2 voices, and the PSR-E413 doesn't have any GM2 voices.

The filename also includes "S287" which would be the ID of an icon associated with the file, but the PSR-E413 doesn't have or use any icon files the way the PSR-S, Tyros, and Genos keyboards do.

And the file has a copyright message which mentions "Team H2O."

Finally, there is no way to extract the built-in demo songs from a PSR-E keyboard, because the keyboard's design prevents it from outputting the MIDI data for those songs.

Now, I'm not saying that the PSR-E413 might not have some sort of version of this song among its demo songs, but I don't see how this particular MIDI file could have come from a PSR-E413. I suppose you've already loaded the file into a PSR-S970 and used its onboard Song Assembly functions to try to revoice the file for the PSR-S970?

I agree with Michael.

This is a poorly programmed MIDI file. It doesn't begin with either General MIDI (GM) reset or XG reset. Some parts (tracks) have program change messages, other tracks don't have any program change messages. Some program changes are GM, GM2 or even a random panel voice.

The file doesn't have a dedicated set-up measure at the beginning which makes the detective work even harder.

Yep, I can see copyright notice and "Team H2O", too. When I play the file through a QY-70 (XG), the music sounds like a series of short demo songs.

I'm using Sonar to look at the file. I hate to be so blunt, but the overall programming is sloppy.

Rodrigo, I hope this helps. The only reasonable way to fix this file is using a DAW -- it needs a lot of work.

Wish I could be more positive  -- pj

Well a YouTube user send me the file but I don't know anything about it, I said you the midi file is a demo because on YouTube and on the manual I read that the demo elements comes from e413.
