Can I record direct to usb thumb drive rather than HD?  If so , how is it done?  Also, if you can do that can I use a style on the usb drive at the same time as recording?

You can record a midi to a USB drive, but not an audio file. Using a User style is no problem.

Thanks Fred.  I can't record on my HD right now as I need to try and recover data that I accidentally lost reformatting.  I understand if i put anything on the HD now I lose any chance of recovery if that's even possible.

I used to record my entire gig non-stop in audio.  Wondering I could record midi non-stop and save it or I don't remember, does the midi record shut off after each song ends.
