Hello,
I am a new Genos owner. With the help of some of you, I was able to copy the Styles from my PSR-S970 to a USB stick and plug it into the Genos. Works fine. I copied my Registration banks from the PSR-S970 (as well as some carried over from my old PSR 730) onto the USB stick (separate folder) and plugged it into the Genos. The Registrations are all listed.  However, when I touch one to load it, I get an error message that says, "Data Had Not Been Loaded Properly". I have tried several USB drives -all with the same result. So I am stuck. I'm hoping some of you may be able to point me in the right direction.  Thanks
Pete

Hello,

I believe the problem is not the USB sticks.

It looks like the format of your registrations is not accepted by Genos.

I would take one of your existing registrations and re-create it manually on Genos.

Once you have it working that will confirm that the problem is not in Genos itself but with your existing registrations.

Sorry i cannot give you more suggestions.

I had a PSR970 and bought a Genos.
I had to recreate all my registrations.
I did a printout of my registrations showing style, transpose, etc., and then recreated them in my Genos.
Genos will read the TYROS registrations fine, but not the PSR 970 ones.

All you need to do is convert your registrations using Murray Best's Registration Manager.

Look under Utilities on the main website.

Thanks to Fred for his straightforward and valuable advice. I too have upgraded to a Genos and was disparing at the prospect of having to redo over 700 PSR970 registrations, but now I can recover them. (Although it is highly likely that the built in Genos styles may be better in many cases I can now play the old ones until I get round to sussing out all the new ones! )
Thanks again Fred.👍
