some simple chord help

hello,

i'm trying to figure out this type of chord that this guy is using it sounds
like some like half way point chord transitioning from a higher chord going into
a lower chord (e.g: Gm to Dm) its flashy... can someone tell me whats that called
(what type of chord)

Hi Mendel,

This is very hard to tell! Since the music stops at 1'14'' I suppose the chord you are referring to is the last one of the first part of the song at 1'13'', right?

If I am not mistaken, the song is in Am. The main chords in this key will thus be I Am, IV D and V7 E7. I think the chord you are trying to figure out is E7 and is being spelled E G# B D.

If someone else can confirm this it'll be great!

If I am catching the correct part I believe it goes Amin/Abmaj/Gmaj. Just a descending chromatic run of chords.
