Hello Forum Friends

Attached please find an external "unplugged" Style.

I like this style and i am setting up this song with it on Genos.   However, The volume of the intros is very low in relation to the volume of the variations.   Also, the volume of the variations is very disimilar.

I have been trying to increase the volume of the intros in relation to the variations.   However, i have not been able to . . . . the truth is i do not know how . . .  I tried Style Setting and Style Creator . . . . but did not really know what to do.

I have created registrations where i kind of control the volumes but it would be much better if i could:
a) increase the volume of intros related to the variations
b) level the volume of the variations so that all variations volumes are similar

There are other unplugged styles in Genos, but i like this one better for my purposes.

I will appreciate your guidance/assistance . . .

thanks in advance.

Hey!
Style Creator in Genos is not up to date.
Can not change Fill in that application.
But have smoothed the style as much as I can.
With dynamic / Boost Cut in Style Creator.

In Tyros, this program is complete where you can change everything, but not in Genos.
We'll have to wait for the next update in Genos and hope that they will correct this.

Hi guys,
the volumes of each part of the style is similar for all variations in this style.

To adjust the volumes of the parts e.g the drums which are too high,
first go to mixing console, choose a variation, lets say D variation and adjust the volume of each part to your liking while the style is playing.
Then press stop in order to stop the style from playing.
Go to style creator and save the style without pressing the start button.
This way each part will have the same volume in all variations.

To change the volume for each variation individually,
first go to style creator and always keep the style playing while you change the volumes.

At least this is the way is being done to other models so I guess the precidure got to be something similar to the Genos.

OK.
Here's a new one, with modified drums.

thanks a lot for your help.  I noticed that the new modified style(s) increased the volume of intros. It sounds much better.   I will try the other one later today.

Hope that video helps(If it works :P).
1.Using the Mixing console I reduced the reverb of the drums
2.Lower the volume of the drums on Mixing console again.
If you choose one variation and alter something there, it will aplly to all variations, fills, intros etc
3.Then went to Style creator and saved the style.

4.I have changed the volumes for parts ch1 and ch2 for the intros 1 & 2 individually,
(the rest parts were off so there were no pattrens in them to change the volume)
I had the style keep playing in order not to effect the volumes of the other variations.

Sorry for the bad quality of the video,I am not used to take a video with a phone and use just one hand on my keyboard. ;D

Helmer dk.

hello all.

I have given this STY a shot, I have not used style creator except save my changes. I have chosen a Revo drum and have changed all the voices to Genos new sounds and adjusted sound level etc.
I have done this late in the evening and have used headphones so I have not checked the sound with the speakers, so maybe you should adjust the levels a bit.

Regards Helmer  ;)

thank you so much for taking the time to produce a video.  It is very helpful.  I watched the video several times and i think i got the idea.   Not sure that i will do this often but it is good to know.

Also, thanks so much for the modified style.

Helmer and Eileen

Thank you so much for the modified styles you did for me.  I am in the process of testing the new styles for the song i am setting up.

It is great to have this forum resource.  I am impressed with the expertise here, cause i can only play but I am not very good with the technical aspects of modifying styles.

Have all a great night/day.

Greetings.

Hi Al,

I usually take a lot more time when editing a style.  I took a different approach than the others.  I edited the Note Velocity for the Bass and acoustic guitar parts and only adjusted the drum kit by Volume.  The drum kit has many different notes and each one has its own velocity so the way to get it right is to carefully adjust each drum note velocity... that takes time.  Due to time  constraints I chose to increase the volume on the drums for the Intros.

I did my editing in StyleMagic.

Helmer dk.

Hello again

I have now had my adjusted STY on the speakers and, as expected, I had to made some adjustments, but mostly due to generally too loud levels according to my system.
I've changed the bass again and other small adjustments and you can use the multi pad to make the sound more complete.

According to your system settings, speakers, EQ etc. you might still have to make some adjustments.

Regards Helmer  ;)
