It is nice to meet another ham radio operator online  :D

Actually, the two hobbies tend to coincide more than you think! Over on Organ Forum (the home organ is the Daddy of the arranger keyboard, of course!) there are loads of hams who also play organ and keyboard. Most of us also seem to have a passion for trains, both full size (especially steam trains) and model railways.

It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

I am using a pair of amplified JBL LSR-305 monitors with my Genos. Well, as soon as I power them, the headphones are muted!. If I just power them off, even without removing cables, the headphones work.

This is very weird. I will try this at home with my pair of LSR305.

Jose,

A note about the LSR305's........ these are bass reflex monitors which are 'rear ported'. A usual recommendation for rear ported monitors is to have them 6 or more inches away from the wall behind them. Having more space allows for a better dispersion of the bass frequencies. It does look from your picture you may have some room to pull your monitors forward a bit. Might be interesting to try both positions and see if there is a noticeable difference in how the bass sounds.

I will do that, thanks!

The truth is that I got the Genos on Thrursday, installed it and then the headphones and mixing console (a Yamaha one also!) problems began, so I spent more time trying to find the problems than playing the Genos!. I hope to spend some quality time soon with it. I have also seen that the LSR305 have some bass and trebble adjustments on them (+/- 2dB). I would say that a bit more bass would be fine, but again, I need to check the system and decide what sounds better.

Regarding power sockets, on a first attempt I put both the speakers and the Genos on a power strip with switch, so I could disconeect all same time. Later, in order to be able to power off only the speakers, I have put them on different strips. But both on the same strip or on a different one, the problem persists.

I am a Telecommunication Engineer and the electrical installation on my home was carefully made by myself and a professional. I have my repair lab on same room that the Genos is and have plenty of electronic gear. I don't think there is a problem in the installation, honestly.

But, well, what happens is really curious!. I had thought on replacing the speakers TS-TS cables by TS-XLR cables, just to see if that makes any difference. But I don't have them handy so I need to order them.

I will let you know if there is any advance on my troubleshooting process.

Thank you all for your help on this!
