Chordtracker question

Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding Chordtracker.
I share my music through homesharing, and i hoped that chordtracker would see my music that i have stored on a small PC. The music app on my iPad sees the music perfectly, but the chordtracker app only sees the music stored on my iPad, not the music shared on the home PC.
In the manual i can see chordtracker does not support icloud sharing, but i see no reference of the app not supporting homesharing.
Can anybody help me out or do i have to copy the songs i want to use in Chordtracker to my iPad?( but has limited memoryspace )

I believe it is IOS only which means cannot be used on a PC. There are other apps and free ones too which will run on the PC. Google it.
There's also an online site that show the chords to almost any song.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your reply.
To make things more clear: i don't want to use the PC for chordtracking, but i want to use the iPad.
The iPad relays the music library from a small PC.
Works well in the Apple Music app. But not with Chordtracker.

Yes you'll need to transfer your music to your iPad to use Chord Tracker.

I don't know what size iPad you've got - I think currently the smallest is 32 GB. Taking a typical mp3 song at around 5 mb, it would take a huge amount of songs to fill up the iPad internal memory - sorry, no calculator to hand - so it shouldn't be an issue.

Jan,

I ran into the same problem. The music has to be on the iPad for Chordtracker to find it. At first I did what you suggested, I just loaded the songs I wanted at the time. That got to be a pain, so I bought an iPad Pro with 128 gig capacity and now  I have about 1500 songs on it. It's also nice having a larger display which makes sheet music easier to read.

Good luck,

Rick D.

Hi Chris, Rick,
Thanks for answering me. Unfortunately i have an old Ipad with 16 Gb , and with several apps installed, there isn't much space left. No money to spend for an Ipad Pro...stll... i am not complaining.
I will transfer de files bit by bit to my old and faithfull Ipad.
Its good to know i am not missing some feature and i can now stop searching.
Thanks again!
Jan
