I have a question, would it be possible to order a yamaha company to convert such a development studio drum, developed for genos?

If I understand you question.  The answer is NO.  That drum kit is specifically for the Motif.  Who knows, maybe Yamaha will release an expansion pack with multiple drum kits for the Genos and other arrangers in the future.

You might inquire with Peter at Easy Sounds and suggest he release a Motif drum kit pack for arrangers.  He is a long time sound programmer for Yamaha.

Hi --

The particular pack that you identified on Yamaha Musicsoft is produced by Dave Polich. Dave is a veteran sound designer, having done work for Yamaha under contract as well as selling his own waveforms and patches. Here is a link to Dave's Web site:

I suggest contacting Dave directly.

And Easy Sounds has sold some of Dave's Motif sound packs as well.  Maybe still does... not sure.

It sure would be nice to have more "quality" kits to choose from.

Yamaha has never produced and sold an extension of the "Drum Kits Premium Pack" package for Tyros before.
Will there be an exception to Genos?
I really look forward to it. Anyone who knows music production knows that 50% of the music's success depends on the quality and color of the drum kit.

I agree 100%. Excellent drum kits can really enhance the overall sound of basically any song. The Revo Drum kits are very good in my opinion although more of a variety would be nice. Kudos to Yamaha for providing a variety of expansion sound packs for the Genos but it would sure be nice if they provided more bread and butter sounds such as Piano, Guitar, Drums, Woodwinds, etc. I think a lot of people would be interested in more bread and butter sounds too. Yamaha has an opportunity to fulfill such a request but only time will tell if they will in fact step up to the plate and deliver.
