One of the reasons Yamaha technical people do not come onto sites is that they do not have time.
They are kept very busy with people phoning them and helping them resolve problems they may have.

One of the reasons Yamaha officials ,cant commit to admitting a fault ? ,
They could be "Sued"

There is an ex - judge on this forum called " TORBEN "
Hes knows what im taking about .

Eileen, how can you know?

Why is there an official forum for Yamaha synths operated by Yamaha (https://yamahasynth.com/forum)?

Why does Phil Clendeninn aka "Bad Mister", a Yamaha technical sales specialist and respected expert on Yamaha's synth technology (https://yamahasynth.com/blog/author/958-badmister) does have the time, to provide regularily very detailed answers to user's questions in that very forum, summing up to (until today) 6408 replies in less then four years (see his profile https://yamahasynth.com/forum/profile/958)? I don't mention the many years he did the same thing on the motifator forum. I don't mention his countless technical articles he wrote to provide in-depth technical know-how to Yamaha's customer base.

Why does Yamaha arranger users are left in the dust? No time? Come on, Eileen. From the perspective of the loyal customers of Yamaha arrangers such support is desperatly needed. I've stated in this forum that I invested a considerable amount of my hard earned money in Yamaha products over the years and I like the Genos as a product. So this is not bashing Yamaha, on contrary. I got a lot of support from Yamaha (forum, technical articles, tutorial video) for a synth product that was considerable less expensive than a Genos. All I ask for is to get the same level of support as an arranger customer that I enjoyed as as synth customer.

And Yamaha is clearly advertising Genos as a professional musicians instrument. So, where's the support, Yamaha?

Well have you all or any of you been in contact to ask Yamaha direct why they don't come on forums.

That's a good idea if we had a decision maker level contact inside Yamaha. Just calling first level customer service isn't going to get us anywhere. I think we've all seen who you get when you call any company's customer service line. So if anyone has a product management level contact, pm me and I'll be happy to call him/her.

I find this EXTREMELY INTERESTING
Why would yamaha provide THAT Community of users,
with DIRECT Support ?

Very Odd.

I had a Montage for about a year and got great, first hand support from Yamaha, in that forum.

The situation would maybe be different if this forum was only for Genos.
😊  I started out with nothing .. and I've got most of it left!  😊

Nah. The Yamaha synth forums cover several of their synths.

Because the Synthesizer department is in America, and the Yamaha Synth department (US) does not take the arranger keyboards customers seriously.
Yamaha would do well to set up a separate division for arranger keyboards and its own service department. (in europe)

Good idea, Yamaha are calling the Genos a Workstation after all

Oldden

Hi,
It's a good idea but it might never happen. Perhaps one solution would be to have a tips only section, no moans, demos or chat, just info to help each other.

That is exactly how it is to-day with EVERYTHING everywhere..  I hate it and often they will even refuse to tell you their name and often you cannot call the service number and get the same person on the phone to explain in case it did not help. You must start all over again from zero.  On the other hand I can very well understand the incompetence  you often find on help lines. Too many products with too many features and too quick model change.  Its like  when I was young 70 years ago you had one medical doctor and one dentist.  Now I have 6 because the one who knows about peptic ulcers know absolutely nothing about arthritis.

You can, I do it all the time, just turn multipads to zero volume on your next reg.
Graham

Or use the Pad Stopper file.

Read my article on Multi Pads, (link is below in the signature) it will tell you how to do it.  Never mind the EDM focus, it works for all genre of music.  There is a download with files to demonstrate how it works.
