I have just purchased a Lindy unpowered 4 port USB Hub . I can plug in two usb sticks and switch from one to the other easily.  Each switch is illuminated beautifully. I am a bit concerned that one day I will accidentally have both USB sticks switched on at the same time. Can anyone tell me if that could damage my new HUB or damage
damage my PSR Keyboard.

I also own a USB Hub with no switches. I have never been game to use it on my PSR 750 as I don't want to damage anything. I suppose I am being over cautious, but my parents always told me to not fiddle with things I did not understand.

I have been using a 4 port switchable not powered (with lamps) hub for YEARS and every day. Always have two ports active as I can switch from one to the second UBS on the keyboard (PSR S950). I use this to make backups from one to the other USB after working for some time on styles, RGF's or midi's. Never had a problem.

I do exactly the same. I have two "working" usb sticks, one for styles, the other for everything else. I try and avoid taking these out. If I want to transfer, say, something I've recorded as a WAV file to my laptop, I switch the style-usb off and switch on a third usb stick. It is then a simple matter to copy the file from my working-usb to this third one. This can then removed and plugged into the computer.
