Hi all,

Please help me as I've become a little rusty on the Yamahas.

I want to assign different voices and volumes on the same style channel, but different for the various variations, intros etc.

Can this be done direct on the arranger?

Kind regards,

Henni

Hi
If I understand you correctly yes you can using the mixer and registrations.
1) Make the arrangements to the style you wish and volume, voices, etc.
2) Then save as registration 1
3) Proceed to make other changes and save each as a separate registration 2-8
Fred as made some excellent videos on using registrations

Hope this gets at what you want to do.

Hi Henni,

I assume that you want to save the voices used for the style sections within the style itself.

If so then load the style, open Style Creator, then open the 'Mixing Console - Style Part' display and tab to the 'Vol/Voice' page.

You will now see the voices being used for the various styles parts for the style section currently selected.

To limit changes to a specific style section you need to select the section of interest by pressing any style section panel button.  You should do this for the first section that you want to change, even if is the one currently lit red in the style control panel buttons!

This will open a small pop up window listing all the style sections (including the fills & break).  Select a section and make the changes to the style parts in that section.  These will then only apply to that section.

Once you are happy with the voice and it's level, if you want to change the voice/s used in another section, press a style section panel button to open the pop up again, and select another section to change.

After you finish your changes, remember to save the edited style from within Style Creator before loading a different style or your changes will be lost!
