Hello Bertie59. Many thanks for the settings for the S970. They have brought the keyboard more to life now.

Those same settings will also work on the S-950 as well.

Gary please can you tell me how these settings can work on the S950? As far as I can see there are only 2 knobs, 5 sliders and a total gain adjustment in the 'Master EQ edit' on the 950
Have I missed something?

Thanks and warm regards

Dick, obviously, there are only 5 sliders on the S-950, while the S9709 has 8, therefore you will have to eliminate some of the settings used on the S-970, and I would recommend one of the ones in the center of the sliders, mainly because the high and low settings are always the most pronounced. While the mid range settings are important as well, they pretty much can be set flat, or a few notches above flat, which seems to add a bit more zest to a variety of instruments, particularly the brass, horns and guitar voices. Of course, much of your success will depend a lot on the individual sound system used during a performance and how that sound system is EQ'd as well. Some sound systems, such as the Bose L1 Compact do not have EQs, therefore, all of the EQ settings must be done on the keyboard.

Hope this helps clear things up,

Anyone have similar settings for a S670?

Ed B

Hi
Try the one's suggested for the 950 in this thread by Gary which also has a 5 band equalizer.

Just put these in on my PSR S975 and love the difference. Big improvement.
Now I just have to figure out what the compressor does LOL.
