I have a new PSR-SX920 and would like to add some styles to it but haven't a clue how.  I downloaded a country style pack of styles and have it on a flash drive but that's as far as I am confident to do.  Do I unzip it first, and how do I add it to the styles on my new keyboard?  Thank you

If the style files folder you will indeed need to unzip it.

If the folder is simply a folder with just styles in it you just need to insert the USB Stick into the keyboard and play them.
If the download you have is more than a basic folder ie the file has a ext name like PPF or CPF you need to load it into the Yamaha Expansion Manager program first.

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum, @nhmelodymaker!

In addition to Bill's comments: Please note that the pre-installed Expansion Packs will be removed from the SX920 when you install new expansion packs. If you want to continue using pre-installed packs, you have to download them from the Yamaha website and reinstall them with the new expansion content. If you need further support with this, just get in touch here again.

By the way, what is said here (about expansion packs) has nothing to do with just copying style files (e.g. file types .sty, .prs, .sst, .fps) or copying a folder with style files onto a USB stick and use from there.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
