Following the steps outlined here https://forum.psrtutorial.com/index.php?topic=53015.0

I follow them all to get to the actual chord page, and I find it loads in data from whatever style is current...BUT none of that data can be edited to get to a clear screen.

Is it required to leave that style header data there or is it, in some way, p[possible to delete it? Starting with a clean slate, as it were.

I've also tried the Yam Chord Tracker App...and it has it's own set of issues haha!

On chord tracker, if you tap and hold the chord, you can either delete or change to the correct chord; I think that's what he was referring to?

Because being based on the audio interpretation, if chord tracker can only 'hear' the root and firth (or worse, if a long droning background sound is mistaken for the bass or root note) then  yeah, it'll guess the wrong chord, so chord tracker lets you edit that before sending the chord block midi data into your instrument.

I tried following your link on my SX720 @pax-eterna . A first time trying this, just curious.

The first time I opened the step editor there was data from the style that was loaded. I couldn't really do anything with it. So I closed the program and opened it again, there was no data this time, just the End line. I was able to insert information above it and make changes to it.
Because I didn't really know what I was doing (it's been years since I played with XGWorks) I didn't save anything. But you can get a clear screen to work with, somehow.

But after I'd closed it and moved on, my Midi play/pause and my Chord Looper on/off buttons would not turn off and stay off. They would relight when I'd press them off, not immediately but after several seconds or so. Eventually I got the Midi to stay off but the Looper on/off light remained on until I restarted the keyboard.

Odd behaviour.

Yes it is odd...I really do not know why these two (Korg and Yamaha) cannot get a decent chord looper tool working! It is just MIDI ffs!
